France
The vast and diverse wine regions of France, each with its own unique terroirs, grape varieties, and winemaking techniques, are a treasure trove.
In Bordeaux, the birthplace of some of the world's most iconic wines, esteemed vineyards such as Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Margaux, Château Latour, and Château Haut-Brion produce exceptional red wines, showcasing the art of blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. The region is also renowned for its exquisite white wines, with vineyards like Château d'Yquem and Domaine de Chevalier producing legendary sweet wines.
Moving to Burgundy, the vineyards of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Leroy, and Domaine Armand Rousseau capture the essence of the region's revered terroir, crafting exquisite red wines from the Pinot Noir grape. Meanwhile, Domaine Leflaive and Domaine Coche-Dury are celebrated for their world-class white wines, predominantly made from Chardonnay.
The Champagne region, known for its sparkling wines, boasts illustrious houses such as Krug, Dom Pérignon, and Moët & Chandon, as well as grower-producers like Pierre Péters and Jacques Selosse. These vineyards create exceptional sparkling wines using the traditional method, offering a symphony of delicate bubbles, elegant flavors, and vibrant acidity.
In the Rhône Valley, iconic vineyards like Chapoutier, E. Guigal, and Château de Beaucastel produce remarkable red wines in the northern appellations of Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, and Cornas, showcasing the elegance and power of Syrah. Further south, Châteauneuf-du-Pape is celebrated for its rich and full-bodied red blends, with Château Rayas and Clos des Papes leading the way.
In Alsace, vineyards such as Domaine Zind-Humbrecht and omaine Trimbach craft exquisite white wines, including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris, expressing the region's unique terroir and varietal character.
These are just a few highlights among the diverse array of wines that France offers. From the Loire Valley's crisp whites and elegant reds to the Languedoc-Roussillon's bold and robust wines, each region presents its own vinous treasures.

Vinous (94-96)
The 2019 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru is matured with 50% new oak and 100% whole bunch, the pruning having changed from cordon to Guyot simple in 2018. It has a lovely bouquet of orange-peel- and marmalade-infused red berry fruit, fine mineralité and wonderful definition. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Quite savory in style, leading to a slightly austere finish that should gain a little more flesh with bottle age. This is a classy offering that will need 4–5 years to show its full potential.保税价格¥ 11,865.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (94-96)
100% whole bunch vinification, 50% new wood. Bright crimson purple. The nose takes some teasing out, but is not initially among the most flamboyant. Whole bunch pepper is apparent and a weight of dark fruit. Huge volume on the palate, a brooding dark raspberry with more lifted red cherries, the whole bunches quite evident but also well integrated, a refreshing mineral acidity and the sumptuous hedonistic style which is typical of Clos St-Denis dominating the aftertaste. Certainly very long indeed. Would like to see this in ten years time. Tasted: December 2021保税价格¥ 2,845.00 -

Vinous (92-94)
Matured with 60% whole bunches and 50% new oak, the 2021 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a crisp nose with touches of menthol and blood orange surfacing with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, a dash of white pepper, cohesive with another quite elegant, brown spice and cracked black pepper finish. Very fine.保税价格¥ 12,685.00 -

A cool, airy and even spicier nose is composed by ultra-pure red berries and exotic jasmine tea. There is a lovely energy suffusing the refined and detailed medium-bodied flavors that terminate in a beautifully long if decidedly serious, compact and moderately austere finale that also reflects a trace of warmth. This needs to develop better depth but that shouldn't be an issue provided one is sufficiently patient.保税价格¥ 35,930.00 -
Vinous (93-95)
The 2017 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru contains 100% whole bunch fruit, matured in one new barrel and one used. This has a more expressive bouquet than the Clos de la Roche, featuring ample ripe red currant, blueberry and raspberry preserve aromas tinged with pressed flowers. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry and offers a little more penetration and tension than the Clos de la Roche. Almost sorbet-fresh on the vibrant finish. Wonderful.保税价格¥ 11,315.00 -
Vinous (93-95)
The 2018 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a cohesive, focused bouquet of intense red currant, wild strawberry and crushed stone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity and slightly angular tannins that will be softened with time. I appreciate the energy and backbone of this Grand Cru. Excellent.保税价格¥ 11,750.00 -
Wine Advocate (94-96)
One of the highlights of the portfolio is the 2018 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru (Domaine Gagey), a lovely wine that bursts with aromas of rose petals, deep red fruits, sweet soil tones, raw cocoa and cinnamon. On the palate, it's full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with lively acids, considerable concentration and an ample endowment of fine-grained tannin. This will require and reward patience.保税价格¥ 11,920.00 -

Punchy red fruits sing on the nose: pomegranate seeds, fresh cranberries and kirsch. Fabulously pure fruits soak the full-bodied palate encased in suave tannins and fresh acidity. This is focused and chiselled with excellent terroir clarity. Woodsy spice and leather notes mingle with the long, fruit-filled finish. 2025-40保税价格¥ 17,065.00 -
Vinous (90-92)
The 2021 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a pastille-like purity on the nose with sensual red cherries, redcurrant and cranberry aromas all deftly entwined with the new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins. It's structured and bold, though it lacks the finesse that is implied by the bouquet. Solid, but a bit unwieldy at the moment.保税价格¥ 11,555.00 -
Wine Advocate (94-96)
The 2014 Clos St Denis Grand Cru, from 55-year-old vines (more or less), has a very pure, delineated, sophisticated bouquet with captivating purity. It is actually more Clos de la Roche in style! The palate is very sensual on the entry with dark plum, sea salt and a hint of juniper berry. The tannins are fine but form a framework around the long finish, completing an impressive and delicious Clos Saint Denis from Jadot.保税价格¥ 13,290.00 -
Wine Advocate (93-95)
The 2016 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a clean and pure bouquet with ample smoke-tinged blackberry and raspberry fruit, controlled and focused, the mineral scents emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannin, plenty of dusky red fruit laced with graphite, although it deserves more complexity and detail to come through ont he finish. That may come with time. It is not up there with the outstanding 2015 but it is still extremely fine.保税价格¥ 10,850.00 -
Vinous (95-97)
The 2017 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru, which contains "a few stems," according to winemaker Frédéric Barnier, has a gorgeous bouquet of raspberry, cranberry and touches of crushed stone and orange pith - one of the finest aromatics from Jadot this year. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, demonstrating more weight and fruit intensity than its sibling Clos de la Roche. There is grip, focus and a sense of purpose whereas the Clos de la Roche seems to drink more easily. Superb.保税价格¥ 12,190.00 -
Jancis Robinson (17.5++)
Ripe and smoky on the nose, powerful and warm. The palate is very ripe, bordering on overripe before a cut of bright acidity and refined powdery tannins. Great intensity and richness with a hint of warming alcohol. Long and burly on the finish, this will reward patience in the cellar.保税价格¥ 12,630.00 -

Vinous (92-94)
(30% vendange entier): Medium red. Captivating aromas of strawberry, leather, tobacco and cinnamon lifted by a note of bergamot; conveys an impression of noble site-driven rusticity. Silky on entry, then penetrating and imploded in the middle, conveying excellent definition and lift to its firm-edged flavors of strawberry and crushed stone. I never would have picked this energetic, tightly wound wine as a 2015.保税价格¥ 7,160.00 -
Vinous (93-95)
(13.4% alcohol; from what Thomas Dinel described as well-placed 65-year-old vines; vinified with 25% whole clusters and aging in two-thirds new oak): Bright medium red. Pungent aromas and flavors of red berries, crushed stone and rose petal. Silky, tactile and thick, combining a deep sweetness with penetrating acidity and saline minerality. Boasts superb volume for young Clos Saint-Denis but also outstanding energy. Really saturates the palate and vibrates on the very long aftertaste. A splendid Clos Saint-Denis in the making.保税价格¥ 7,160.00 -
Vinous (90-92)
The 2021 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru was showing some reduction on the nose, but there feels like plenty of fruit concentration here, the 25% whole bunches are neatly integrated. The 100% new oak does shroud the terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with quite dense tannins. The new oak is a bit overwhelming towards the finish and occludes a sense of place. Jury is out for now...保税价格¥ 14,250.00 -
