The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village contains 20% whole bunch from the La Violette lieu-dit and destemmed fruit from the Quartiers de Nuits and Basses-Maizière lieux-dits. Aged in 30% new oak, it is quite backward and surly on the nose at first, but opens to reveal white pepper and clove aromas tincturing the tightly wound black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit, and quite sweet at its core, with that white pepper leitmotif and a touch of graphite toward the crunchy finish.保税价格￥ 5,110.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (90-92)
Thomas has enough fruit to vinify two vats, using 40% whole bunches for Les Violettes and none for Quartiers de Nuits, to make 20% for the whole cuvée which is assembled as soon as the wine goes to barrel. Vibrant purple, a very heady nose, slightly heated lush raspberry. But the nobility of the terroir shows through in the mouth where the raspberries are less lush and are joined by a few strawberries. The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Village has a bit more gumption on the nose compared to the Gevrey-Chambertin with lifted red berry fruit and touches of black tea. It has a very intense bouquet of red and blue fruit infused with rose petal and violet, touches of clove and blood orange developing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit on the entry, quite detailed and structured, and blueberry and blackberry toward the finish. It needs to finish its élevage to fully cohere. It has a well-defined, quite tertiary bouquet, the whole bunch quite expressive at the moment, imparting light black pepper and clove aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (93-96)
(100% vendange entier; 40% new oak): Good deep red. Much more backward and medicinal on the nose than the regular Malconsorts, offering scents of menthol, mint, licorice, violet and black pepper lifted by a piquant whiff of orange peel. Then brooding and dominated by its structure in the mouth, offer blueberry and blackberry flavors lifted by blood orange. Terrific cut and energy here, and even suaver than the previous wine. Finishes very spicy and impressively long, with serious fine-grained tannins starting drier than those of the Malconsorts but gaining sweetness as the wine opens in the glass. Both this wine and the first Malconsorts got a cold soak that lasted for five days. They were harvested on the same day, vinified entirely with their stems, and aged in the same percentage of new oak. The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Cuvée Duvault-Blochet 1er Cru was cropped at 18.8hL/ha. It is slightly deeper in color compared to other vintages. It has a precocious and pure bouquet with redcurrant, cranberry and just a touch of peony. The palate is sweet and candied on the entry, high-toned with a light spicy element emerging with time. This is one of the most outgoing Duvault-Blochets that I have encountered. There's more blueberry fruit, almost pastille-like, towards the finish.
