Moving to Burgundy, the vineyards of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Leroy, and Domaine Armand Rousseau capture the essence of the region's revered terroir, crafting exquisite red wines from the Pinot Noir grape. Meanwhile, Domaine Leflaive and Domaine Coche-Dury are celebrated for their world-class white wines, predominantly made from Chardonnay.
The Champagne region, known for its sparkling wines, boasts illustrious houses such as Krug, Dom Pérignon, and Moët & Chandon, as well as grower-producers like Pierre Péters and Jacques Selosse. These vineyards create exceptional sparkling wines using the traditional method, offering a symphony of delicate bubbles, elegant flavors, and vibrant acidity.
In the Rhône Valley, iconic vineyards like Chapoutier, E. Guigal, and Château de Beaucastel produce remarkable red wines in the northern appellations of Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, and Cornas, showcasing the elegance and power of Syrah. Further south, Châteauneuf-du-Pape is celebrated for its rich and full-bodied red blends, with Château Rayas and Clos des Papes leading the way.
In Alsace, vineyards such as Domaine Zind-Humbrecht and omaine Trimbach craft exquisite white wines, including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris, expressing the region's unique terroir and varietal character.
These are just a few highlights among the diverse array of wines that France offers. From the Loire Valley's crisp whites and elegant reds to the Languedoc-Roussillon's bold and robust wines, each region presents its own vinous treasures.

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (90-92)
Fine deep crimson colour, the thicker style of a Morey-side Chambolle, both on the nose and the palate. Quite firm tannins, a fair acidity and a mixed dark fruit which returns behind. Sound, though some other wines offer more joy. Tasted: November 2021保税价格¥ 3,670.00 -

The 2018 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a cohesive, focused bouquet of intense red currant, wild strawberry and crushed stone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity and slightly angular tannins that will be softened with time. I appreciate the energy and backbone of this Grand Cru. Excellent.保税价格¥ 7,750.00 -
Wine Advocate (94-96)
One of the highlights of the portfolio is the 2018 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru (Domaine Gagey), a lovely wine that bursts with aromas of rose petals, deep red fruits, sweet soil tones, raw cocoa and cinnamon. On the palate, it's full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with lively acids, considerable concentration and an ample endowment of fine-grained tannin. This will require and reward patience.保税价格¥ 9,065.00 -

Punchy red fruits sing on the nose: pomegranate seeds, fresh cranberries and kirsch. Fabulously pure fruits soak the full-bodied palate encased in suave tannins and fresh acidity. This is focused and chiselled with excellent terroir clarity. Woodsy spice and leather notes mingle with the long, fruit-filled finish. 2025-40保税价格¥ 9,290.00 -
Vinous (90-92)
The 2021 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a pastille-like purity on the nose with sensual red cherries, redcurrant and cranberry aromas all deftly entwined with the new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins. It's structured and bold, though it lacks the finesse that is implied by the bouquet. Solid, but a bit unwieldy at the moment.保税价格¥ 8,340.00 -

Crushed strawberries and hints of raspberries as well as citrus on the nose follow through to a medium to full body, salty undertones and a stoney finish. Intense and very spicy. Drink in 2020 but already delicious.保税价格¥ 2,856.00 -

Cask sample. Pretty nose and a complete wine that is just the right side of ripeness (ie not too much). Lip-smacking and friendly. Actually, you could drink it any minute! Judging by the ex-cellars price quoted this could be GV.保税价格¥ 1,840.00 -

The 2020 Beaune Cras 1er Cru includes 30% whole bunch as a trial for Jadot whose policy has always been to de-stem. To be honest, if I had this blind, I would not have said there is stems in this blend, which I see as a good thing. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh and I do think those stems lend more freshness on the finish. Excellent.保税价格¥ 1,950.00 -
Decanter (96)
Open and pleasant nose showing pretty floral and ripe red berry fruit along with spicy oak. The palate is elegant and juicy with red apple, beetroot and dried cranberry flavours, crunchy, ripe tannins and a chalky undertone. Very fine, tasty and well handled.保税价格¥ 2,450.00 -

Opening in the glass with aromas of sweet berries, cherries and plums framed by a deft application of toasty new oak, the 2018 Beaune 1er Cru Célébration (Maison Louis Jadot) is medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with a fleshy core of fruit structured around rich tannins and succulent acids. It's a hearty, generous wine that should evolve nicely in the cellar. As usual, it's a blend of more than a dozen Beaune premiers crus.保税价格¥ 1,590.00 -
Wine Enthusiast (96)
This is a sumptuous wine, rich and full of both fruit and a cushioned structure. The generosity of this beautifully perfumed wine is considerable, giving juicy fruits as well as acidity. It has great aging potential so don't drink before 2026.保税价格¥ 6,805.00 -

Profound aromas of chocolate, blackberries, black cherries, and spices are found in the nose of the 2003 Chambertin-Clos de Beze (from a 45-55-year old parcel). A huge, exceptionally deep wine, its potent core of black cherry fruit is highly expressive and massively concentrated. Well-balanced, it reveals immense complexity, staying power, and an exceptionally long finish studded with copious quantities of ripe tannin. Projected maturity: 2012-2022.保税价格¥ 9,495.00 -
Vinous (94-97)
Good medium red. Extravagantly complex nose combines raspberry, wild rose, crushed rock, clove, mocha and wild herbs. Wonderfully subtle, spherical and nuanced, communicating an almost 3-D texture to the flavors of red berries, spices, licorice, herbs and flowers. The wine's firm spine of tannins is utterly covered by lush, fleshy fruit today. The thick, slowly rising finish washes over the palate like a wave.保税价格¥ 9,880.00 -

Jadot's 2015 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is stunningly good in the 2015 vintage, bursting from the glass with a primary bouquet of candied red cherry, plum, rose petal, coniferous forest floor and a hint of the black truffle to come, judiciously framed by new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and deep, with wonderful concentration and depth, its generous core of ripe fruit underpinned by bright, racy acids. This still need time to come together—15 years, ideally—but its potential is immense.保税价格¥ 9,525.00 -
Wine Advocate (96+)
Tasted from bottle, the 2016 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) is showing marvelously, unfurling in the glass with a deep bouquet of juicy cherries, cassis, blood orange, violets and rich spices, its framing of new oak already almost entirely integrated. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, multidimensional and utterly complete, with a bottomless core of cool, sappy fruit that entirely conceals its supple but abundant tannins. Immensely concentrated and strikingly structurally refined, this is a brilliant Clos de Bèze that's more classically balanced than the more overtly ripe 2015.保税价格¥ 7,090.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (95-98)
Lovely dense mid purple, the nose has massive energy but not yet much detail. Then such an explosion of riotous fruit, joyously ripe pinot but still pure pinot. A little touch of menthol behind the ripe cherry notes with raspberry chaser. Amazing length. Very fine indeed. Tasted: November 2021保税价格¥ 7,775.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (96-98)
A fine crimson colour. The bouquet is immediately appealing showing a distinction not yet apparent in the Chapelle-Chambertin, though that will come. This is the more structured of the two, possibly even a little bit stern, but with a wealth of high-class fruit behind where the refinement begins to show. Drink from 2032-2040+. Tasted: October 2023.保税价格¥ 10,910.00 -

Opening in the glass with aromas of cherries, red plums and cassis mingled with subtle hints of coniferous forest floor, the 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes (Maison Louis Jadot) is medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with an open-knit core of succulent fruit framed by melting tannins. Attractively balanced and immediate but only moderately concentrated, this Charmes boasts considerable near- to mid-term appeal.保税价格¥ 2,920.00 -
Jancis Robinson (17)
Star anise, red plum and red cherry on this complex and bright nose. Silky smooth but plentiful tannins frame an expansive core of floral red fruits on the palate. Quite marked smoky, chocolatey oak at this stage but such is the power of fruit that it should knit together well with time.保税价格¥ 5,890.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (96-98)
(5 Star Wine) Medium deep purple. The bouquet offers great promise, not flamboyant, a savoury red fruit but with depth behind. Nothing on the nose to say this is a stunning wine but just wait till you put it into your mouth! Such an explosion of rich ripe red fruited pinot, with a plush velvet texture which covers the tannins which are surely there for the long term future. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted: October 2023.保税价格¥ 6,030.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (95-98)
5 Star Wine. Not the deepest but a fine even ruby. The bouquet is pure class from the very outset. Excellent tension on the palate as the fine raspberry fruit maintains a freshness of acidity. 67% of the vines are still from the original centenary planting. Magical balance, length and consistency of fruit. Drink from 2033-2045. Tasted Oct 2024.保税价格¥ 14,045.00 -
Wine Advocate (93-95)
The 2016 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a clean and pure bouquet with ample smoke-tinged blackberry and raspberry fruit, controlled and focused, the mineral scents emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannin, plenty of dusky red fruit laced with graphite, although it deserves more complexity and detail to come through ont he finish. That may come with time. It is not up there with the outstanding 2015 but it is still extremely fine.保税价格¥ 10,875.00 -
Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (91-94)
Good medium red. Expressive aromas of black cherry, licorice and menthol; reduced today but very Clos Vougeot. Dense and vibrant, with very good underlying spine to its black fruit flavors. Finishes with substantial ripe tannins and excellent length. A serious Clos Vougeot in the making.保税价格¥ 4,035.00 -
Vinous (93-95)
The 2012 Clos Vougeot is one of the most impressive of the Grand Crus I tasted at Jadot this year. Powerful, rich and layered, the 2012 has more than enough fruit to balance the tannins. Dark red fruit, scorched earth, chalk and iron are all layered into the supple, racy finish. This is a surprisingly finessed Clos Vougeot. Hints of rose petal and mint add lift on the close. There is so much to admire here.保税价格¥ 6,455.00 -
Vinous (93-95)
The 2018 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has an intense bouquet of blueberry, cassis and iodine aromas, almost Chambolle-like in style. The medium-bodied palate delivers supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Citrus-fresh with orange peel and marmalade notes toward the persistent finish. Excellent.保税价格¥ 4,015.00 -

Cask sample. Glowing ruby. Some really savoury undertow keeps this interesting! Polished tannins and some stoniness. Lots of pinched tannins but that’s not a bad thing. Gives it interest and pace. Very different from most reds in the Jadot stable. Mineral not fruit. Not flattering but a success. Fine-boned.保税价格¥ 4,760.00 -
Tim Atkin MW (96)
Full-bodied, bursting with ripe fruit and displaying a millefeuille of earthy notes, this is a head-turning Clos Vougeot. It is body builder material with all of its muscle, sinew and grit. The palate gleams with youthful fruit surrounded by corralled tannins and roaring acidity. Not for the faint of palate, but do let this calm down for at least half a decade. It has all the makings of a fascinating wine as it heads into more mature days. 2027-42保税价格¥ 4,920.00 -
Jancis Robinson (17)
Cask sample. Pale to mid garnet. Firm, well-integrated nose. Sweet start and quite substantial. I think this would show quite well in a blind tasting with its Clos de Vougeot peers. A trace of dry tannin on the end but that promises well for the future. Firm with a little sour-cherry flavour but quite majestic build – even if it’s not nearly as alluring as the Clos St-Jacques!保税价格¥ 6,500.00
