The 2020 Clos de la Roche Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a beautiful, concentrated bouquet, predominantly red fruit intermingled with orange zest, blackcurrant and pressed iris flower. The palate is very well structured with fine tannins, real weight and depth, this Grand Cru seeming to fill every pore of the mouth. (Outstanding) A more elegant and ultra-cool nose reveals its combination of floral, citrus zest, iodine and that briny sea water character the best examples of Chablis all seem to possess, all of which is trimmed in moderate but not invasive wood. There isn't quite the same volume on the palate as the Butteaux, but the middleweight flavors are notably more refined before terminating in a driving, chiseled and citrusy bone-dry finale. The 2020 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru comes from 80-year old vines: 100% whole bunch with one-third new oak. This takes time to unfold on the nose when often this cuvée is quite medium. The aromatics say: Hold your horses. Then it unfurls to reveal slightly tertiary black fruit, tobacco and crushed limestone, almost flinty aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannins. Silky texture, poised acidity, this might be the most elegant and refined Bonnes-Mares that Nicolas Groffier has produced. I confess, I could not resist swallowing my tasting measure. Raised entirely in new oak with all its stems, the 2020 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has a tough job following the crystalline Les Amoureuses. Almost opaque at first, this whole bunch imparts a strong pepperiness, with a light charcoal scent in the background. The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru comes from 80-years old vines that was harvest over five morning, one hour each day and vinified in the same vat of course. Blended with 50% whole bunch and matured in 25% new oak, it has a well-defined bouquet with rose petals, red berry fruit, just a very faint hints of menthol in the far distance. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, fresh and vibrant, lightly spiced towards the finish that feels linear and strict. This Amoureuses does not want to give too much away at the moment but the length in the mouth cannot be denied and augurs well for the future.保税价格￥ 6,680.00 -

The second vineyard to be picked, 50% whole bunch vinification, with 25% new wood. This is a draining sandy soil which gets direct sun only in the morning, so not hot but dry. 12.8% alcohol. A dense dark black purple. For the moment the whole bunches speak quite loudly. Dark fruit, rather exciting, shows the oak a bit, not all together but there is a lot of wine here. These vines sit in deeply clay soils, which graciously help shield the vines from heat spells. Nicolas Groffier used 100% whole bunches (the berries are so small he doesn't want to damage the fruit) but only 20% new oak. The result is a finely scented Chambolle with pure black cherries, blackberry coulis and licorice.
