Surprisingly supple and sweet in the mouth, offering considerable early appeal. Not especially complex but nicely full and satisfying. The 2012 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Corvées Pagets from Robert Arnoux has a composed and detailed bouquet with blackberry, briary and redcurrant scents, just a touch of bergamot emerging with time. There is appreciable mineralité here. The palate is well balanced with supple ripe tannin, fleshy and bold; not the only Chevillon-inspired wine here, with a velvety, caressing finish.
