Vinous (95-97)
The 2019 Montrachet Grand Cru (Marquis de Laguiche) is very intense on the nose, featuring subtle licorice scents tucked behind the citrus fruit; this seems to expand with aeration. The palate is beautifully balanced with a playful entry of apricot and quince. It builds beautifully in the mouth, revealing hints of crème brûlée and almond shavings toward the well-defined finish. Hints of chai tea and grilled hazelnut swirl around on the aftertaste. This is a long-term Montrachet.
Decanter (98)
This definitely represents a new beginning for the Clos des Lambrays, beginning with a dizzying array of aromas that range from high-toned red fruits to ripe, plummy black fruit, all touched with spice, and a suggestion of wild herbs and fresh flowers. After blending there was an average of 80% whole cluster fermentation. The texture on the palate is concentrated but not heavy, and there is a charming, silky aspect to it so, despite the tannin and density, the overall impression is one of finesse and elegance.
Vinous (96)
The 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru shows a little more clarity, a touch more crystalline on the nose compared to the Bienvenue, scents of Granny Smith apples, petrichor and gunflint. It is controlled and penetrating. The palate is extremely well balanced with a fine silver bead of acidity that cuts through the concentrated malic fruit, a dash of pepper towards the finish that fans out gloriously, sour lemon and grapefruit lingering on the aftertaste. Wonderful.
Vinous (98)
The 2019 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru needed a little encouragement from the glass. Eventually it reveals captivating scents of honeysuckle, petrichor and pressed yellow flowers, an underlying spiciness that comes through with aeration. The palate has a beguiling symmetry from the start: a killer line of acidity counterbalancing the intensity of this Chevalier, gentle grip towards the spicy and "flowing" finish. Everything you could really want in a Chevalier-Montrachet Closure: Diam
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (96)
A pale primrose colour with a wonderfully floral nose, how do they manage this pretty much every year? Clay in the soil keeps this fresh. I am taking my time over this wonderfully classic nose. Much more in white fruit with that electric crystalline thread running through the middle. Perfect balancing acidity. Such finesse in a sunny vintage! Brilliant stuff.
Vinous (94-96)
The 2019 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has a floral bouquet of black and blueberry fruit infused with crushed violet and iris petal. This is completely destemmed, so it does not convey the same amplitude. The palate is medium-bodied, with light Earl Grey and ash notes tincturing the black fruit. Fine structure and focus here. Light on its feet toward the long, sustained finish. This is a superb Bonnes-Mares.

Wine Advocate (91-93)
The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes (Méo-Camuzet Frère & Soeurs) mingles notes of raspberries, cassis and plums with hints of rose petals and Indian spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety, it's rich and enveloping, with a charming, generous profile. As I wrote last year, Méo not only purchases the grapes from this parcel but also farms the vineyard.

Wine Advocate (92-94)
The 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers is showing particularly well—just like its 2018 predecessor at the same stage of its élevage. Wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, wild berries, rich soil tones, spices and grilled meats, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, with lively acids, beautifully refined tannins and a charming, gourmand profile.
Vinous (89-91)
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Perrières 1er Cru is under the négoce label, although Méo-Camuzet is responsible for both viticulture and winemaking. This has a clean, pure floral bouquet of blueberry and light cassis aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite compact and displaying good density. Surprisingly muscular toward the finish. Very primal and a bit burly at the moment. I would like to see just a little more elegance.
Vinous (93-95)
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos St. Marc 1er Cru is from Rion’s monopole, just under a hectare on Ostrea limestone marl, soil rich in fossilized oyster shells. That mineral element really defines the nose, scents of shucked oyster shells and limestone permeating the transparent red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, superb structure, a keen line of acidity and a beautifully structured and persistent finish. Outstanding.
Vinous (87-89)
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Terres Blanches had been racked just before harvest and was still going through malo. That made the nose difficult to read, but the palate shows good weight and freshness, with attractive pineapple and spicy notes surfacing toward the finish. Good potential.

Jancis Robinson (17.5)
Rich, sweet, intensely floral nose. Lively palate without quite the richness of the Clos de la Roche. Still quite a bit of tannin to degrade. Still edgy.
Jancis Robinson (18.5)
Very dark crimson. Heady and intense. Very rich and magnificent. Truly a noble, ambitious wine even if not the subtlest. With lift and majesty. Some sweetness but not excessively so. Just still a little dry/bitter on the finish but the Bernstein style is evident, uncompromising and ambitious.
Jancis Robinson (18)
Serious savour and earthiness on the nose here – much less rich than the other stablemates tasted so far. Very sweet on the palate though with great impact and tightness – though some dryness on the end. These are wines very much built to last.
Jancis Robinson (17)
Super-intense nose – much more than most Clos de Vougeots. But some Vosne vigour in there. Dry finish for the moment.
Jancis Robinson (17.5)
Not quite as deep or purple as most of his other wines. Heady. Blackberries. Very hedonistic. But built for the long term. Seems a little hot on the end. Still quite dry on the end.
