The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux 1er Cru, which I learned takes under an hour to pick, was showing just a little reduction on the nose, which is quite savory compared to the Aux Brûlées; it develops light ferrous notes with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and ebullient red berry fruit suffused with energy before it segues into a structured, almost Richebourg-like finish. The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Herbues was the first vineyard Faure bought, in 2011, populated by vines planted mainly in 1964. This has a very well-defined bouquet of raspberry, cranberry and tea leaf aromas, more loamy notes emerging with time. The palate is wonderful and delivers crisp tannins. Kind of "old school" Pinot Noir in some ways, thanks to the 100% stems, but fresh as a daisy and quite persistent on the saline finish. Superb.保税价格￥ 10,125.00 -

The 2019 Charmes-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru, which comes from Perrot-Minot’s own vineyard, is a bit sullen on the nose compared to the Griottes. It never quite obtains the same amplitude, feels a little timid, a Charmes that doesn’t charm at the moment probably due to a bit of reduction. The palate is medium-bodied with very supple, rounded tannins. The 2019 Mazoyères-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a really classy bouquet, perhaps more traditional in style compared to Perrot-Minot’s other Grand Crus, earthier with more sous-bois scents, but just as intense. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent, corpulent tannins that render this a very voluminous and mouth-filling Mazoyères. Maybe the Chapelle-Chambertin has more nervosité, though this boasts and extremely long aftertaste and a persuasive sense of grandeur.保税价格￥ 7,180.00 -

The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Cuvée des Alouettes opens in the glass with notes of plums, cherries, raw cocoa, cinnamon and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and fleshy, it's layered and elegantly gourmand, with lively acids and a precise, mineral finish. Here the nose is firmly reduced so in the unlikely event you're interested in opening a bottle right away, be sure to give it 30 minutes or so of air and decanting it would be better still. Otherwise, there is slightly better underlying energy to the rich yet nicely detailed, even precise, middleweight plus flavors that also deliver impressive length on the bitter lemon-inflected finale. A touch of matchstick character is present on the cool if ripe aromas of honeysuckle, carnation, lemon-lime and crushed fennel. The supple and caressing medium weight flavors are rich to the point of opulence with excellent density and punch that carries over to the impressively long and sappy finale where the only reproach is again a touch of warmth. Smoky and lightly oaky aromas include those of most floral, ripe apple compote, Asian-style tea and a broad range of spice nuances. There is excellent size, weight and mid-palate density to the bigger-bodied yet refined flavors that exude a more subtle bead of minerality on the beautifully textured, mouthcoating and hugely long finale that offers better depth as there is just more here. This is doubly impressive in that unlike most vintages of the iconic Ramonet Montrachet, this could actually be enjoyed after only a few years of bottling aging, such is the suppleness of the mid-palate. An interesting and beautifully layered nose reflects notes of soft wood, white orchard fruit, citrus confit, iodine, tidal pool and shellfish. The rich, concentrated and quite serious larger-scaled flavors flash plenty of minerality on the muscular and saline-suffused finish that goes on and on. This too is terrific with outstanding development potential; indeed, I would go so far as to say that this is one of the best vintages for the Raveneau Butteaux in some years and I include the 2010 and 2014 in that assertion.保税价格￥ 4,250.00 -

As is often the case, this is aromatically quite similar to the Montée de Tonnerre with just a touch more wood in evidence. Here too the slightly richer flavors possess an equally gorgeous texture with a bit more mid-palate stuffing to the intense, powerful and bone-dry finale that exhibits simply huge length. A strong candidate for the title of wine of the vintage in Chablis this year, the Raveneau family's 2019 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur unwinds in the glass with aromas of crisp green apple, citrus zest, iodine, oyster shell and fresh hazelnuts. Full-bodied, taut and chiseled, it's incredibly taut and concentrated, with huge depth at the core, tangy acids and a long, penetrating, pungently saline finish.
