(Sweet spot Outstanding) Once again the nose is quite restrained while remaining wonderfully elegant and even more floral with its cool and admirably pure aromas of pomegranate, cherry, spiced tea and plenty of violet and lavender nuances. There is outstanding intensity, in fact it's presently almost painful, to the pungently mineral-driven middle weight flavors that display terrific persistence on the youthfully austere and equally chiseled finish. It has a lovely bouquet of black cherries, cherry liqueur, black pepper and just a touch of balsamic. Here the wood is a bit more prominent though by no means invasive to the nicely spicy nose of mostly dark currant and poached plum nuances. This has a little more cohesion than the Morey Village at the moment on the nose of dark berry fruit, almost pastille-like. The palate is very harmonious with a lightly spiced entry. A little oak remains to be subsumed, but there is fine depth on the finish, and veins of blood orange on the aftertaste.
