Offering up aromas of cherries and cassis, deftly framed by a touch of new oak, the 2018 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune is medium to full-bodied, deep and fleshy, with a rich core of fruit, powdery tannins and lively acids. Still primary and youthful, it had yet to be bottled when I tasted it.保税价格¥ 3,675.00 -

The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge has a fragrant bouquet of dark cherries and raspberry scents, quite gentle in style. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit and fine acidity. The 20% new oak lends a little weight toward the finish. This is definitely one of the superior generic red Burgundy wines you will find this year.保税价格¥ 2,130.00 -

The 2018 Hautes Côtes de Beaune was taken from barrel. It has a perfumed bouquet of raspberry preserve and light strawberry aromas, demonstrating a little more depth than the Bourgogne Rouge. The citric palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannins and a steely finish. Give it a year in bottle.保税价格¥ 4,055.00 -

The 2018 Bourgogne Blanc was not the total blend when I tasted it at the domaine, since a couple of barrels had not finished their malolactic (there will be seven barrels in total). It has an attractive nose with notes of lemon curd, white flowers and just a hint of nutmeg, quite Meursault-like in style. The well-balanced palate is slightly buttery on the opening. Quite generous and slightly honeyed in the mouth, with touches of lime cordial and tangerine toward the finish. Enjoy this as soon as it is bottled.保税价格¥ 3,050.00 -

Decidedly ripe yet still quite fresh aromas are comprised by notes of red cherry liqueur and earth. The medium weight flavors are exceptionally rich compared to what is typical for wines at this level while possessing a caressing mouthfeel that contrasts only slightly with the mildly rustic and firm finish. This is an excellent Bourgogne and one that should even reward a few years of cellaring.保税价格¥ 4,015.00 -

The 2018 Bourgogne Grand Chaillots is a mix of Chambolle-Musigny and Nuits Saint-Georges fruit, and it had been racked two weeks prior to my visit in December. It has a pretty raspberry and cranberry bouquet, floral in style, with subtle vanilla notes emerging with time; you cannot detect the 20% whole bunch. The medium-bodied palate offers sappy red fruit, and the whole bunch lends freshness and a subtle pepperiness toward the finish. Very fine.保税价格¥ 2,780.00 -
