The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru is under the négociant label but the vineyard is completely worked by the domaine. The wine has a clean, precise bouquet of vivacious red cherry and strawberry fruit. The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Boudots 1er Cru has more vibrancy and energy compared directly with the Aux Murgers. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly angular tannins, a little more acidity than the Aux Murgers and good tension and nervosité toward the finish, imparted by the 10% added stems. Here too there is just enough reduction to push the underlying fruit to the background but it's not so heavy as to obscure the fact that it's ripe with white fleshed fruit and just a touch of oak. The super-sleek, delicious and vibrant flavors are presently relatively compact on the agreeably dry finish that flashes a touch of warmth. The 2018 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru comes from two parcels amounting to a single hectare of vines. This is more mineral-driven than the straight Le Corton, offering beautifully defined red berry fruit laced with crushed limestone and light marine aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with powerful red berry fruit. Quite heady for a Corton-Bressandes, leading to an intense finish. A much more subtle though not invisible touch of oak surrounds the even more floral-inflected aromas of blue berry liqueur, anise, tea and newly turned earth. There is outstanding volume and mid-palate concentration thanks to the abundant dry extract that imparts a seductive quality to the mid-palate that contrasts considerably with the very, very structured and hugely long and powerful finish. The 2018 Musigny Grand Cru has a complex nose with evidence of some stem addition here lending an underlying peppery character. You could argue that at this stage it rather obscures the terroir expression, though the whole bunch seems commensurate with the fruit. The palate is crisp and precise, the stems lend a discrete peppery character. Not a powerful Musigny, yet perhaps the most elegant with a sensual kirsch-, liquorice-tinged finish.
