Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (93-95)
This comes from the Echezeaux du Dessus, a plot purchased in the 1960s which must have been almost immediately replanted as the vines are now 50 years old. 30% whole bunch vinification and 70% of the cuvée is in new wood but we tasted from a one year old barrel. Equally dense purple in colour. Haunting qualities with real depth. Firm and forceful, some fine-grained tannins, covered with a wealth of rich red fruit including some strawberries.保税价格￥ 32,140.00 -

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet La Concis de Champs had wild variations in potential alcohol and acidity levels, caused by differing rootstocks, vine ages, pruning techniques, etc., that made it difficult for Olivier Lamy to pick. This has a bright red apple and lime bouquet that feels well defined. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and very pure. The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Tremblots Vieilles Vignes contains some fruit from the "Haut Densité" vines. It took almost a year to completely ferment. The nose offers well-defined scents of crushed limestone and apple blossom, taut and quite focused. The 2018 Saint-Aubin Clos de Meix 1er Cru comes from hard limestone soils in the middle of the village. It has an intense, quite malic bouquet featuring Granny Smith apples, freshly sliced pear and sea spray. The 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes was showing brilliantly, soaring from the glass with notes of pear, lemon oil, wheat toast and iodine. Medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, it's layered and complete, with lively acids and a long, precise finish. The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet les Folatières 1er Cru has a crisp bouquet of white peach, orange pith and subtle flinty aromas that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is fresh and taut on the entry, and strict at the moment, displaying an almost Chablis-like reserve toward the finish, but you can feel the salinity lingering in the mouth long afterwards. The 2018 Saint-Aubin Les Murgers des Dents de Chien 1er Cru displays another case of "noble reduction" on the nose (indeed, it was very reduced from barrel). Taciturn at first, it opens gradually with aeration, revealing attractive apple-blossom, petrichor and later, blackcurrant leaf scents. The palate is well balanced with lime and orange zest on the entry, a fine-boned Saint-Aubin with well-judged acidity and a lively, lightly-spiced finish. Very fine. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip. It displays a fine crescendo in the mouth, until it reaches the effervescent finish. The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Charmois comes from a cold terroir that confers an advantage in this kind of growing season. It has a very fragrant, well-defined bouquet of red cherries, crushed strawberry and orange pith. Not complex, but there is lovely purity here.
