About Inglenook
One of the most storied and revered estates in America, Inglenook can trace its ancestry across the globe as far back as 1842. Surviving plague, prohibition and bankrupt owners, it is today a simply sensational New World producer crafting some of the finest classically structured Cabernet Sauvignon in the world.
The modern era that shedding a glimmer of light for Inglenook came in 1975, one of the greatest film directors of the 20th century. Francis Ford Coppola, who had already made The Godfather and The Godfather Part II at the time, came to Napa in search of a holiday home with his wife. Purchasing the old house of the former owner, Gustave Niebaum, which the house was not included in the sale of the Inglenook brand, the Coppolas subsequently founded the Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery with the promise that they would do everything in their power to one day restore Inglenook’s reputation.
The wines of Niebaum-Coppola Estate went from strength to strength, only growing in reputation with the appointment of the legendary André Tchelistcheff as a consultant in 1982. Having a hand in two of the Californian wines which triumphed at the Judgement of Paris, his tenure went more than a little way towards the promised restoration of the Inglenook reputation.
After 30 years, the success of Niebaum-Coppola meant it was now an unstoppable force in Napa with enough muscle to finally purchase the remaining land which constituted the original Inglenook estate, including the mythical and revolutionary château.
Finally, a mere 10 years ago, Francis Ford Coppola fulfilled his decades-long promise and purchased the brand and trademark of the Inglenook name – the land, spirit and name are once again whole after so many years. Far from content with this monumental achievement, Paul Bascaules was poached from the mighty Château Margaux in 2011. After five years as general manager of Inglenook, the lure of being appointed MD back at Margaux proved irresistible. Vinous (95)
A dense, succulent wine, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon captures all the raw power and density of the year. The 2015 is just starting to soften, but ideally it needs another few years in bottle to be at its finest. Readers should expect an especially opulent style, and yet the 2015 has more than enough depth to drink well for another 15+ years or more.保税价格¥ 7,040.00 -
Jeb Dunnuck (94)
The base cuvée is the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, and 1% Malbec sourced all from Rutherford. It has a classic, Saint Julien-like bouquet of crème de cassis, tobacco lead, damp earth, and spice that gives way to a full-bodied, concentrated, textured Cabernet that hits all the right marks. A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot, the 2015 Rubicon is slightly deeper in color than the 2014 and offers a deeper, more concentrated, yet slightly compact style that's common in this vintage. Blackcurrants, scorched earth, cedary spice, leafy herbs and licorice all flow to a ripe, beautifully concentrated, deep wine that needs 5-7 years of cellaring and will make for incredible drinking over the following 15+ years保税价格¥ 7,085.00 -

This is a powerful and structured red with full body, focused and polished tannins and a long and flavorful finish. It’s very close to the great 2013. A blend of 93 per cent cabernet sauvignon and seven per cent cabernet franc. Needs three or four years to come around.保税价格¥ 6,155.00 -
Decanter (97)
A lovely enticing nose filled with rich plum, fig and blackcurrant fruits - heady and opulent. The palate is precise with a distinct texture, certainly dense and ripe but the flavours just settle on the tongue giving spiced touches of liquorice but allowing the freshness and acidity to underpin the overall taste. It feels very carefully constructed with everything in place allowing power and generality but neatly packaged and not overdone. A blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Wines are aged for 18 months in 100% French oak, 76% new.保税价格¥ 6,945.00 -
Jane Anson Inside Bordeaux (100)
A storrming, stonking Napa wine, playing at the top of its game in 2019. Somehow takes the power and concentration of Napa but makes it full of texture, life, light and shade. Espresso, liqourice root, cocoa bean, cassis, cranberry, black cherry, cold ash and crayon. Hard not to fall in love with, nothing overdone, everything in its place. Even better than I recall from barrel, the nose of Inglenook's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Rubicon (which includes a small amount of Cabernet Franc and an even smaller portion of Merlot) emerges from the glass as a harmonious melody of baking spices—cinnamon, vanilla and cardamom—and ripe cherries. Showing terrific intensity and a plentitude of fine-grained tannins, this medium to full-bodied wine should age well for at least two decades.保税价格¥ 7,205.00
