The Cathiards are pioneers in the fine wine world, transforming and rejuvenating Smith Haut Lafitte into one of Bordeaux’s top estates in a few years.
Their new venture, Cathiard Vineyard, is located at the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains, straddling the Rutherford and St. Helena AVAs. The property neighbors Dana Estates, a revered name among Napa connoisseurs. This is a prime site for viticulture, with a history of over a century and a team of skilled vignerons.
Cathiard Vineyard spares no expense in producing world-class wines, using state-of-the-art techniques such as optical sorting and temperature-controlled fermentation.
To further enhance their wines, the Cathiards have enlisted Fred Ammons, former winemaker at Harlan and Rudd, as a consultant. This is a dream team behind a wine that is destined to soar in quality and reputation.
