A candidate for the second wine of the vintage, the 2019 Pichon Comtesse Reserve is stunning stuff that surpasses the Grand Vins of most châteaux. Pure cassis and darker currants as well as tobacco leaf, lead pencil, and spring flowers all define the bouquet, and it's pure class on the palate, with a seamless, elegant, supple mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. Pale to medium gold colored, the 2009 Rieussec sings of crème caramel, chopped nuts, baked apples and spiced pears with hints of jasmine, peach blossoms and beeswax. Full-bodied, rich and decadently creamy in the mouth, the multilayered palate is beautifully lifted with fantastic freshness. So much botrytis on the nose with spice, dried mushrooms and nutmeg. Dried lemons and mangoes. Full-bodied and medium sweet with density and, at the same time, lightness. I like that it is full of botrytis on the palate at the beginning and then turns fruity and very pretty at the end with citrus and fruit. Balanced, creamy and rich. Getting a big “Wow” in my notes, the 2017 Chateau Rieussec is an extraordinary Sauternes that has everything. Awesome notes of orange zest, honeyed flowers, ripe pineapple, peach, and spice all soar from the glass, and this beauty is already complex, has full-bodied richness and power, a great mid-palate, and a beautiful spine of acidity. The 2019 Rieussec is absolutely gorgeous. Gracious and supremely elegant in feel, the 2019 is immediately impressive. An exotic melange of lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers, passionfruit and tangerine oil opens effortlessly. The 2019 is compelling from start to finish. Harvest took place from October 8 to 15, in three passes. The 2019 is the first vintage that will be offered in a stylish new bottle. It is no secret Sauternes has struggled of late. I must say I really liked the new and very modern presentation, which shows a more playful side of Sauternes that might just work in creating a bit more excitement around these wines.保税价格￥ 1,535.00 -
Vinous - Antonio Galloni (94-96)
The 2021 Rieussec is bright, floral and super-refined. White flowers, lemon confit, pear, passionfruit and mint are all nicely lifted, with beams of bright acids that lend support. As has been the case in recent years, Rieussec is done in a style that is all about maintaining freshness and verve. There's plenty of both here. The 2021 was harvested over 3-4 picks. Yields are down 30%, which is a very favorable result for the year in Sauternes. The 125 grams of residual sugar are not at all evident.保税价格￥ 2,390.00 -

An estate that’s on an upward trajectory, having just completed work on a new cellar, the 2018 Château Ripeau comes from just over 12 hectares of vines situated near the likes of Cheval Blanc, Figeac, and La Dominique, and is a rough blend of 67% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon that will spend 16-18 months in new French oak. It offers a deep purple color as well as terrific purity and precision in its vibrant cassis and black raspberry fruits and notes of spring flowers, spice box, and earth. Medium to full-bodied, silky, and seamless on the palate, it has building tannins, ample mid-palate depth, and good concentration, and stays light on its feet and incredibly elegant. This estate is managed by Julien Salles and gets consulting advice from Claude Gros. My money is on this 2018 being the best to date, and I suspect the best is still to come!保税价格￥ 1,540.00 -

The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly lactic entry, hints of mocha lining the red berry fruit with quite a forward, sumptuous finish that comes as a surprise given the vintage. Les Vaucrains is marked by its proximity to the combe at the southern end of Nuits-St-Georges, which gives the wine an added lift of freshness. Outstanding Top value. An ultra-fresh nose speaks of ripe red and dark berries plus an abundance of earth character. There is better volume and density to the energetic medium weight flavors where the supporting tannins are unusually fine in the context of what is typical for a Nuits villages. The 2016 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru contains 100% whole cluster and is matured in one-third new oak. It has a really beautiful bouquet that you could easily mistake for Christophe Roumier’s: blackberry, blueberry, a hint of crushed violet and fine mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied with plenty of fine-grain tannin, the new oak perfectly sutured into the black and blue fruit with superb delineation and focus towards the silky smooth finish. The 2017 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru was bottled just before Christmas 2018. It has an engaging, almost beguiling bouquet of brambly red berry fruit, sous-bois, light tobacco aromas and a discreet marine influence. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and slightly ferrous red berry fruit. Racked three or four weeks prior to my visit, the 2018 Bourgogne Passetoutgrains contains 10% Gamay. It has a crisp red cherry and wild strawberry bouquet with veins of blue fruit. The 2020 Bourgogne Rouge has a precise bouquet with commendable precision for a regional red, attractive rose petal scents emerging with time. The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru has a tight, quite backward nose that demands more coaxing than Christophe Roumier's Les Amoureuses , but it is easy to fall for the dark brambly fruit mixed with sous-bois and light tobacco scents. The palate is medium-bodied with edgy tannins, zesty and quite citric, offering desiccated orange peel and blood orange flavors. Fresh and sorbet-like on the finish. The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru comes from 80-years old vines that was harvest over five morning, one hour each day and vinified in the same vat of course. Blended with 50% whole bunch and matured in 25% new oak, it has a well-defined bouquet with rose petals, red berry fruit, just a very faint hints of menthol in the far distance. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, fresh and vibrant, lightly spiced towards the finish that feels linear and strict. The palate is medium-bodied with a little oak to be subsumed on the entry. Good weight, quite muscular for a Chambolle with liberally sprinkled black pepper enhancing the finish. Sweet red berries, hard candy, crushed flowers, spices and mint are some of the many notes that meld together in the glass as the 2013 Roc de Cambes opens up in the glass. The 2013 is super-ripe, racy and layered, but in the soft, silky style of the year. Roc de Cambes is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 100% new oak barrels.
