There are around 30 barrels of Trapet's 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, a lovely wine that mingles notes of wild berries with hints of dark chocolate, exotic spices and violets. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, it's deep and lively, with powdery tannins and a long, perfumed finish. This derives from eight different parcels spread throughout the appellation.保税价格¥ 4,210.00 -

The 2015 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a refined bouquet of pretty, slightly tertiary red berry fruit laced with subtle oyster shell scents. The fresh, vibrant, medium-bodied palate presents fine-grained tannin, crisp acidity and a succinct, mineral-driven, detailed finish that does this grand cru proud. Bon vin! Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.保税价格¥ 16,020.00 -

The 2019 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru, which contains around 60% whole bunch, has a well-defined bouquet of ebullient dark berry fruit laced with light woodland and earthy scents. So much vigor and coiled-up energy! The palate is medium-bodied with wonderful balance, supple tannins, perfectly judged acidity and a crescendo of flavors toward the splendid, mineral-driven finish. The cooler microclimate really benefited this cuvée in 2019, and it is one of the Trapet’s finest contributions to the vintage.保税价格¥ 19,205.00 -

The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin "Ostrea" comprises around 70% whole cluster this year and comes from parcels around the village of Brochon. This has an elegant bouquet of gorgeous wild strawberry and raspberry preserve aromas, the oak seamlessly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and well-judged acidity, and so juicy that it is nigh impossible to detect the stem addition. This might well constitute the best "Ostrea" I have tasted from Trapet.保税价格¥ 7,545.00 -

(5-Star wine) Still in barrel, unracked. Rich deep purple with a heady ripe raspberry fruit. But it is fresh, clean, mineral and intense on the palate with a lovely supple fruit backed by clean energy. Darker fruit, but significantly more weight. In fact, this is astonishingly concentrated at the back of the palate. There are plenty of tannins here, but easily enough fruit.保税价格¥ 7,740.00 -

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Ostrea comes from vines that have now been rewired higher according to Jean-Louis Trapet. It has a more mineral-driven, reserved bouquet compared to the Gevrey-Village, fragrant and beautifully defined, the 40% whole bunch lending freshness. The palate is fresh and vibrant with gentle grip, good weight, taut and fresh with a saline, Morey-like finish. Classy, for Burgundy-lovers who like their Pinot a bit cerebral.保税价格¥ 3,725.00 -

The 2009 Charmes-Chambertin Les Mazoyeres comes across a big, powerful and super intense. It bursts from the glass with huge dark fruit, freshly cut flowers, tar and licorice, all of which come together with notable intensity. The 2009 shows off superb textural richness all the way through to the finish. The Charmes is young, young, young. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2039.保税价格¥ 10,290.00 -

The 2015 Charmes Chambertin les Mazoyeres Grand Cru offers up notes of red and black fruit, beetroot, earth and whole cluster spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, rich and silky, with an expansive attack, a layered mid-palate and a long, saline finish. This is quite stylized, marked by whole cluster fermentation which seems to give it a high pH feel, but for admirers of this particular aesthetic—a perspective my score reflects—this should offer two decades of rewarding drinking.保税价格¥ 8,780.00 -

The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Bel-Air 1er Cru comes from vines close to the forest, leaving it vulnerable to hungry boars. At 30% whole-bunch fruit, it has an attractive bouquet with pressed rose petals and a touch of lavender infusing the red berry fruit. The medium-bodied palate offers fine-grained tannins. Quite lithe and supple, with gentle grip and a well-defined, minerally finish. Recommended.保税价格¥ 3,315.00 -
Vinous (91-93)
Apparently the berries were very aromatic when they entered the vat for the 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Bel-Air 1er Cru, which includes 40% whole bunches. It has a lovely bouquet of wild strawberry, raspberry and wild hedgerow scents, touches of iris flower emerging with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite fleshy and velvety-smooth in texture. There is more density here on the finish, which shows touches of spice and marmalade and fans out nicely. This should evolve well in bottle.保税价格¥ 3,055.00 -

A very backward nose that is also quite reduced leads to big, rich, and opulent flavors that possess a forceful, detailed and quite minerally finish that is serious, brooding and strikingly long yet despite the power possesses a seductive mouth feel that remains detailed and quite precise. I really like the texture and like the Bonnes Mares, it delivers a wonderful combination of power and finesse. Jan 2010, 2020+保税价格¥ 54,555.00 -

100% whole bunch vinification. Most of the vines date back to 1928-29 with a few from 1989. Glowing imperial purple. The nose mirrors the majesty. Starts discreetly then swells on the palate. The wine is entirely harmonious with perfectly integrated light touch of acidity. It is very far from being massive but it is a beauty nonetheless.保税价格¥ 25,615.00 -

The 2019 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Marconnets 1er Cru comes from 1.83 hectares of vine and includes 30% whole bunch. The cohesive, focused bouquet features a mélange of red and black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins and nicely balanced, but as with some of the domaine’s other cuvées, I am seeking more grip and density on the finish.保税价格¥ 2,915.00 -

The 2017 Volnay En Carelle Sous La Chapelle 1er Cru has a slightly disjointed bouquet that requires only a couple of minutes to gain focus and delineation, though the aromatics lack the vibrancy and purity of the succeeding vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with pretty red cherry and red plum fruit, coming across a little conservative toward the finish, but boy, does this meliorate with aeration! After a couple of hours it suddenly goes up through the gears, developing more precision and harmony than it had immediately after opening. My score reflects this Volnay in full flight.保税价格¥ 2,595.00 -
Vinous (87-88)
The 2017 Volnay is soft, open-knit and pliant, with lovely red berry fruit and floral character. Lifted, ethereal and gracious, the 2017 will drink nicely upon release.保税价格¥ 1,815.00 -

Clerget's Volnay Les Santenots 1er Cru is one of the more overtly ripe wines in the lineup. Kirsch, red raspberries, mint and wild flowers are all given an extra kick of raciness in the Santenots, a wine that really stands out for its nuance, suppleness and flat-out deliciousness.保税价格¥ 2,305.00 -
