This is a very different proposition to its stablemate, the Clos Cantenac, which I tasted alongside. This is more reserved and finely delineated with notes of black fruit. Still, those suggestions of terracotta percolate through. The barrel maturation has really enhanced this Pomerol, which now has more focus and sophistication, and a little more vigor.
